Tesla Motors Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) is no doubt one of the pioneers when it comes to autonomy and electric vehicles. This makes it difficult for the company, because not only do they have to be relevant, but they also have to be the most innovative, to retain their title.
Keeping the title of being number one in the industry, is something that Tesla seems to take seriously. So seriously, that the company recently improved the organization’s hierarchy order. They did this through employing Anders Bell.
What Bell can bring to Tesla manufacturing
Bell is a vastly experienced Interior Designer, previous to this arrangement, Bell served as the Senior Director of Engineering at Volvo. From this point on, Bell will be titled ‘Head Of Interior Design” at Tesla.
Bell has been in charge of many projects, providing his expertise from the concept development to the design, and even the launch at Volvo. These attributes on top of the fact that Bell graduated with certificates in Engineering, and has worked on several projects revolving around automotive and engineering in the past, make him an ideal snatch for Tesla to remain on top.
Various examples of projects that Bell has been a key player in include the likes of the Volvo S60L 2015, as well as he aided in the design of the SPA front seat system, which was implemented in the Volvo XC90 2015.
This is just a brief stint of the expertise that he has gained over the years, previous to this, he worked for four years in China, working with various automotive industries throughout the region.
What will Bell be responsible for at Tesla
Bell will not have an easy time with his job at Tesla, though. Although Tesla, is a multiple award winner, and its vehicles, are beyond doubt, well-executed. There is still one fatal flaw, which many complain about. This flaw is that the vehicles, which Tesla classifies as Luxurious Vehicles, do not fall into the appeal to Tesla customers.
A prime example of such a vehicle outputted by Tesla would be the Tesla Model 3 interior, Bell will have to redesign these models, so as to make them more appealing to Tesla fans.
