Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) Amazon Prime collaborates with Bartell Drugs to sell and deliver the latter’s products through Amazon Prime Now.
Amazon Prime Collaborates With Bartell Drugs
The partnership between the two entities makes Bartell Drugs the first pharmaceutical entity to be on the Amazon Prime Now platform, the one-hour and two-hour delivery service of the ecommerce giant. Under the terms of the agreement, roughly 90% of its inventory can be availed through Amazon Prime Now.
Currently, Bartell Drugs products are available for delivery in select areas in Seattle. As Amazon Prime collaborates with Bartell Drugs, Amazon hopes to expand the availability of the exclusive service soon.
“Bartells is excited to leverage Prime Now’s service to offer the large number of local online shoppers our diverse and quality product selection, along with the added convenience of quick delivery,” emphasized Brian Unmacht, Bartell Drugs CEO and President.
On weekdays, Amazon Prime Now delivery of goods from Bartell Drugs will run every 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. On weekdays, it will start at 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
As an initial offering, Amazon Prime members can get a $10 discount on their first order from Bartell Drugs, provided that the total bill is at least $20. Amazon Prime subscribers only need to use the promo code “BARTEL10”, which is valid until Monday.
About Amazon Prime Now and Bartell Drugs
Amazon Prime Now is exclusively available for Amazon Prime members. The two-hour delivery service is available for free while the one-hour delivery service costs $7.99 per transaction. Presently, it is available in over 20 metropolitan areas in the US.
On the other hand, Bartell Drugs is the oldest family-owned pharmaceutical chain in Seattle, having been established in the late 1800s. Presently, it has over 60 locations in Seattle.
As Amazon Prime collaborates with Bartell Drugs, Amazon.com can potentially register more Amazon Prime members while Bartell Drugs can expand its revenue with the convenience that the partnership provides.
On Tuesday, Amazon.com has closed at $743.24, up by 3.36%.
